We did projects. We even made a lantern that Max was excited to use at night.
We played in the fresh air and practiced catching and hitting the ball. We found a tee-pee in the woods that somebody had made and Max thought that was pretty cool so we added a couple branches to the tee-pee.
Andy and Max went fishing while I hung back at camp with the dogs and read a book in the hammock. It was pretty relaxing, but the boys had some nice scenery while they were out fishing. Notice Max's snacks. I think he really went there for snacks since Andy said he ate the whole time. They didn't catch anything though.
On Sunday we had some relief from the heat where a crazy storm came through and hailed, thundered and lightning. It was awesome! We hung out in the camper, watched a movie on the projector and I read a book while Max napped.
The dogs had a great time and Madison spent most of the long weekend in the camper like she always does. She loves to sleep up in the bed all day long snoring away. I kind of don't blame her. Zoe is still getting used to this camping thing. She definitely does not like to be on a leash.
We did have some animals visit us too. On Friday night while Andy and I were sitting by the fire a giant skunk visited our site and came pretty close to us. I was freaking out because I did not want to get sprayed. I wanted to run into the camper, but Andy made me stand still. He then decided to throw a rock at it to get it to run. The first rock made the skunk come closer, which made me freak out, the second rock got him to scurry away. That ended my Friday night. I was pretty much done with being outside on Friday. On Sunday morning wild horses came through our campsite. There were four of them and it was pretty cool. They were HUGE and didn't care that we were there. It reminded us of being in Yellowstone again.
It was another successful camping trip. The second camping weekend in the books for 2019. I think we have one more on the calendar for the year before we put the camper away for the "winter."
