Friends Christmas, School, and Many More

Early January we hosted the friends Christmas at our house since we have done some renovations and my girlfriends wanted to see it. The ladies had some much needed time together to catch up and the kids had a blast playing together.

Following the winter break, Max's school district decided to quarantine the whole District for two weeks and go virtual. This time it was pretty smooth and Max rocked virtual learning. No fits, no tantrums, it was all good in our house. He went back to in-person learning on the 19th and he was so happy to be back with his friends at school.

These last couple of weekends we have been making gluten-free donuts. It's been fun and the donuts turn out really good. We have made cinnamon sugar, white frosting, chocolate frosting and powdered sugar. Max's favorite is the chocolate frosting donuts. He likes helping put the dye-free sprinkles on the donuts.

Family game time watching the Packers on the weekends in hopes they make it to the Super Bowl only to be let down.

It's been a very nice "winter" here so it's good to get outside and go for a bike ride.

Max has been signed up to start taking golf lessons in February. He's excited about it. This past weekend, Andy set up his golf simulator in the house and he and Max had fun calibrating their clubs. Max just had fun hitting the balls.

Surprise! It's a girl! She was born on January 13th and here are pics of her at two days old. She's a boxer and we are getting her from the same place we got Zoe. We will pick her up on March 6th. Everybody is very excited. We just have to come up with a name for her.

Happy New Year!

For the new year, we went to a cabin in Pinetop with our quarantine family. We were hoping for snow for the kids, but there was no snow, only cold.

For New Year's Eve, the kids tattooed their bodies, wore their hats and blew their horns. They stayed up pretty late as we rang in the New Year.

We did fondue for dinner and the kids loved it. I had to include the pinata tradition that Max typically does with grandpa T and grandma S every year.

Max got to experience virtual reality for the first time when our friends brought theirs to the cabin for the kids to play. Andy also enjoyed playing virtual reality games. Max is now asking for one.

We had a different New Year's this year, but we still had a lot of fun.
