Emoji's, Soccer, Legos and Golf

Friday night Max wanted to have a family movie night so we ordered pizza and rented the Emoji movie. Max loved that movie, but I didn't think he really understood what an emoji is so I showed him on the iPad. He thought this was pretty cool...and funny. He was sitting in his chair on Saturday morning playing on my iPad sending a million text messages to Andy using every emoji possible. He did this while belly rolling with laughter.

Of course we had a soccer game on Saturday. No goal for Max, but he had a good game and he is getting better each game.

It's been Lego city in our house since Christmas. Max is completely into Lego's and we are building a whole city (or at least that's what it feels like) in our house.

On Sunday we took Max to Top Golf for some family fun time. Max used his clubs that Andy and Tim bought him last year and we went to hit balls. Andy was trying to teach Max how to hit a golf ball and he had a blast. To see the joy on his face was so much fun for this mommy.

After Top Golf Max said he wants to go back again next Sunday and hit balls. Andy and I discussed getting him some golf lessons since he had a lot of fun with it.

Cars, Soccer and More Xmas

We received VIP to the Barret-Jackson car show in Scottsdale, so Andy and I got a sitter and went out on a date night...just the two of us! I was unsure about going, but once we got there I had a lot of fun. It was pretty cool to be up close and personal for the auction. By up close, I mean we were on the stage watching the cars come up. We also walked around and checked out all the cars.

Next  year we will take Max for family night. Once we showed Max the pics of the cars he send how cool that was and he really wants to go next year. I am not sure if it will be as cool without VIP tickets, but we will go and take him.

On Saturday Max had a soccer game and he scored a goal. He was so excited that he turned around and looked at us with a giant grin on his face. He was pretty happy about his goal.

It was also super cold outside for the game. By super cold I mean 55 degrees. It was even sprinkling. I did happen to look around at all the parents overly bundled up (including myself) and I did have to laugh because less than a month ago were were in freezing cold temps.

On Sunday Max and I celebrated friends Christmas with the mom friends and their kids. All the kids got together and played hard and opened presents.

Of course we had to do our annual group picture. When you look back at the first picture taken three years ago it's crazy to see how they have all grown so much.

Keeping Busy

Since we have been home from our trip to Wisconsin we have been keeping busy. First, we all thawed out. Ha ha!

Played at the park in this gorgeous weather we have here.

Went to Owen's 5th birthday party and Max had a blast. He was pretty exhausted from all the jumping and playing at Pump it Up.

Max got a lot of legos for Christmas, so we have been spending time putting legos together. Max really enjoys building stuff...especially vehicles.

Plenty of snuggles.

We also started soccer again this week. Practice is Monday nights and games are on Saturdays. He has a new coach and only one repeat kid on his team.

Wisconsin: Part III

We spent New Year's Eve and Day with grandpa T and grandma S. It was our fourth Christmas and Max had plenty of gifts to open from his grandparents and extended family.

Max had a blast playing with his cousins all day. He had so much fun that when they left he was upset and crying.

New Year's was filled with noise makers, hats and of course a Batman pinata.

Max loves to play shuffleboard and beat grandpa. Max actually was pretty good at the game this visit.

New Year's day was filled with reading books, playing, having a dance party and a prime rib lunch before we headed to Chicago to catch our flight.

Max was so exhausted from his week in WI that he slept the whole way to Chicago. I guess WI just wore this kid out.

Wisconsin: Part II

The second part of our trip was spent at Grandma L's house. It was the third Christmas for Max and he was just loving opening up more presents.

Reading his new book with grandma.

On Saturday Max got to attend his first Badger basketball game with grandma L while Andy and I did our own thing. Max had a great time.

Max watched the snow plow clean grandma's parking lot and he thought this was pretty cool since  he had never seen a snow plow in person before.

Just lounging around.

On Saturday uncle Ryan and Emily came over and Max had a blast playing with them.

Max played the didgeridoo with Uncle Ryan and this provided for a lot of entertainment.

Sunday morning breakfast, books and a project before we moved on to grandpa T and grandma S's house.
