Playing Catch Up

I have been getting behind on the blog because of LIFE. It just gets crazy busy and the next thing I know I am behind, so I will be doing a little back dating as I catch up.

This past weekend we went to see a movie. We recently saw Jumanji and Sonic in the theater, but I can't remember which one we saw this weekend. Going to the movies is one of Max's favorite things to do.

We learned how to play Monopoly Junior since Max got that as a Christmas presnt. He won every game. He's really good at it.

We did some science experiments with Kiwi.

Went bike riding.

Max helped make dinner.

Valentine's Weekend

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's weekend. I know we did.

Max worked on his Valentine's cards for his classmates. He chose to hand out race cars, of course, to each of his classmates. He hand picked a car for each friend and practiced his hand writing by writing out each one.

We had a nice Valentine's Day. We all exchanged cards, gifts and of course Max gave me a bouquet of flowers too.

It was Andy's weekend to shine as the head coach of the flag football team. Andy did a great job with the kids, but after the game he looked EXHAUSTED. He said it was from wrangling all the boys. The kids played hard on Saturday and I was very proud of Andy, Max and all the kids on the team.

We got Max's professional team photo.

We finished the weekend with a dinner out with grandpa Tim. Of course Max had to order the shrimp appetizer.

This week Tim Sprecher was in town and had a Mustang convertible for his rental. Max was beyond excited to go for a ride. Afterward he said that daddy should get one. Andy had one back in his college days, but he doesn't really fit in a mustang due to his daddy long legs.

Update

We've been busy lately, but I found that I have not been taking many pictures. It wasn't planned. It just happened that way. I guess I like to say that I am just living in the moment lately instead of taking a lot of pictures...or I just plain forgot. We recently went to the Open, Super Bowl celebrations, Mommy and Max day, but no pictures from any of that.

But, we have been doing a lot of flag football lately and Max is just loving it. He LOVES playing with all his friends from school. He's lucky number seven.

Zoe is still in training and I think we only have two more sessions left. Part of her training is to get her more socialized so we take her to the doggy daycare close to our house once a week. She loves to go. This past Friday they had a super bowl day for the dogs and they served them a super bowl lunch to celebrate and took pictures.

Max and I had to hit up the store recently because this kid just won't stop growing.

Max passed another level in his swim class. He graduated from silver two into the gold level. He will now be learning how to do the butterfly stroke. It looks tough and all the other kids I have seen learn the butterfly struggled with it so I believe we will be in the gold level for quite some time. Max was super excited to ring the bell and celebrate his promotion.
