Volunteer

I got to volunteer in Max's class this week and it was really nice to see how he has grown and changed since last year. He is more vocal this year, plays with the other kids and is super helpful. He's still not the outgoing kid, but he never will be. It was just nice to see him participate. I enjoyed seeing how the new teacher runs her class compared to last year's teacher. Max was super excited that it was his mommy's turn to volunteer. He just loves it when I am able to help out. He is definitely way more excited than I am.

I helped the kids make green monsters this week. It went along with the green theme and the green monster book they just read. I snuck a few pictures from that morning.

Night Out

Last weekend we went out with our friends for dinner and drinks. We don't get out much so when we do we definitely want to take advantage of it. Plus, our friends are like our family and we love to spend time with them when we can.

While we were out having fun, cousin Stephanie drove down from Surprise to spend time with Max. They made cookies together and played so hard that Max told me the next day that he wants Stephanie to come down and visit more often. Since she lives so far away she spent the night and we took her to breakfast in the morning before she headed home.

Video Games & Mini-Golf

I haven't blogged in a while because we haven't been doing a whole lot so far in August. We have spent a lot of time in the pool cooling off during this hot month. We did bust out our old Wii game system and introduced Max to Mario Kart. He LOVES it. Of course there are rules on how much he can play.

On Saturday we went to indoor mini golf. It was a safari theme and glow in the dark. This was a fun thing to do on such a hot day. We were looking for something different to do besides bowling.

On Sunday Max was asking to go to Dave & Buster's since we have not been there in "FOREVER" and he really wants to play the Batman game. We had nothing else going on so we went to D&B for an hour before we hung out in the pool.

Other than that, we have been looking to buy a used pop-up camper. I am over tenting it for camping and we are ready for a camper. Nothing big or new, but just something that's not a tent. It's been hard to purchase one though because they sell like hot cakes online. It seems as if everybody wants a used pop-up these days. Last weekend there was a post online for a pop-up for sale and Andy responded to the seller 20 minutes after the post and it was already sold. That's an example of how crazy it's been. I guess we may not have a camper for this summer, but hopefully for next summer.
