Fun with Golf

So Max could show off his new golf skills we went to Top Golf for some family fun time. This time he actually wanted to go play golf and not just for the snacks. Max was doing so well and it was so fun to see what he has learned. It was also fun to see the excitement in him. I think he might have found something he really likes doing. He's even using golf terms now when he talks about it. He just loves to play and I am very happy for him.

Happy V Day and Golf

On Valentine's Day Andy and Max gave me flowers that Max picked out himself. They also made me my favorite candy, peanut butter cups. They made them with dark chocolate and it was so good. They did a fantastic job.

We also gave Max a gift for V-Day. He was very excited. We all exchanged cards, hugs and kisses. We made a V-Day dinner at home with steak, seared scallops, baked potato and garlic broccoli. Some of Max's favorite things. It was a good day to spend with the ones you love.

On Tuesday, Max had his golf lesson and he asked me to go since I hadn't gone to one yet. I told Max that Andy said I couldn't see anything once he gets on the golf cart to go out on the course. He said that it doesn't matter and it just feels good to know that I am there. Awe...that made my heart melt so of course I made it happen and left work early to be there to support him. His face lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw me pull into the parking lot. He was very excited to see me there. It's true, I couldn't see anything. The kids get taken out far away and there is nothing to watch, but it didn't matter because Max knew I was there supporting him.

Weekend Update

On Saturday we went to visit our new puppy. She was three weeks old when we visited. Just the cutest little thing. Max loved holding her. It was a long drive in the car for a 45-minute visit, but it was worth it. Plus, we got to meet her mom and her mom is a small female boxer so that was nice to see. But, the breeder told us her dad is a large male boxer so we will see how her size ends up being when we go back on March 5th to pick her up. We still do not have a name picked out.

Saturday night Max got a sleepover with grandpa T and grandma S. They went to dinner and had a dance party that night.

We watched the Super Bowl at our house with grandpa T and grandma S, and of course, during the halftime show, Max had to boogie down.

I helped Max make his Valentine's Day box for school. My friend encouraged me to make more than just a box wrapped in Valentine's paper, so I visited Pinterest and let Max pick out what he wanted. Of course he went with the Packer Valentine's box. I wrapped it in yellow paper and he did the rest. I tried to not do the goalposts, but Max insisted that the goalposts were added. They had to take the boxes and their V Day treats to school on Monday so they would could "quarantine" for the party on Friday.

On Monday night Max passed the gold level 1 in swim class. He now officially knows how to do the butterfly. It's onto gold level 2 which is the last level. Once he learns the breaststroke he either joins the swim team or he is completely done. Right now he is not sure if he wants to do swim team.

First Golf Lesson

Sometimes I work from home because I don't feel like going to work or because I can get a lot more done at home than I can at work. When I do work from home I have a co-worker who won't leave me alone. On Friday she actually climbed onto my chair and sat behind me. Trust me, there is no room on the chair for the two of us, but Zoe thought otherwise.

Max just loves to snuggle with Zoe.

It was a gorgeous "winter" weekend here so we got out and rode our bikes to grandma S and grandpa T's house. It's about 4 miles each way and I was proud of Max for doing the bike ride without any complaining.

Max got in the hot tub on Sunday because he just misses swimming outside. He can't wait until it's pool weather here.

On Tuesday night, Max started his golf lessons. Andy took him with his new golf bag. Max was nervous about the lessons because he wouldn't know anybody so we didn't know how well it would go.

Andy said that when the coach brought him back on the golf cart, Max got out all excited and couldn't stop talking about the golf lesson. He also made a friend with another kid in the class, but he can't remember his name. He told me that he can't wait until next week to go. There are no pictures of the actual golf lesson because the coach takes the kids to the other side of the course, so Andy hangs out at the clubhouse until the lesson is over.
