Last Day of 3rd Grade

And just like that...third grade has come to an end. How is time going by so fast? I seriously feel like it was just last week that I dropped him off for the first day of school. I just want time to slow down.

They had an early release day and I picked Max and his buddies up from school. Max was super excited for this day. He couldn't wait to ride home with all of his friends for the end of school year party. I did the same thing as last year with pizza, pool party and I rented a water slide for the side of the house. These boys were crazy when I picked them up. They were all excited and out of control.

The boys ate lunch outside.

Then enjoyed the slide and pool for the afternoon.

The party ended at 4:00 with all the kids going home and we headed up north to be tourists of Arizona. It was a fun, but exhausting day. Max has a great group of friends that I just adore so even though the party is exhausting, I don't mind hosting and making memories for this group of kids.

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all my mom friends had a fantastic Mother's Day! I know I did since I was spoiled by my two favorite guys.

Max is a creature of habit and likes to keep traditions going so he made me breakfast in bed complete with tea. Just like in previous years, he made us avocado toast topped with smoked salmon and creme freche with a side of scrambled eggs. He also made my morning green tea perfectly.

We watched our favorite movie together while we ate breakfast.

I spent the day relaxing while Andy did my usual Sunday tasks. It was nice!

Max and Andy made me dinner on Sunday night too.

It was a nice relaxing day and I hope all the other moms out there had a great day too!

Getting Caught Up

We've been busy lately and I have been slacking on my blogging. Don't worry, I am not going to quit blogging. It's a great way to look back on events or a resource to determine who (Andy or I) was right on something that occurred years ago. The blog always tells the truth.

Recently we went to dinner with friends and saw Stella perform in her most recent play. This is always a fun time!

Max and his buddy did a cooking class at Mix. They made cinnamon rolls from scratch and Max's blue shirt had wipe marks of white all over it. The shirt was evidence that Max used it instead of wiping his hands on a towel. Ugh, I am always reminding him to use a towel and not his clothes. This kid was smiling from ear to ear when I picked him up. Max had the best time with Grayson and he wants to go back again as soon as possible.

Max had his first swim of the season in the pool. It was too chilly for me, but Andy got in with him and so did Zoe.

We went to Max's school for muffins in the morning to have breakfast with him.

Grandma L and Grandpa T's snowbird season has come to an end and they headed back to WI. We had dinner with grandpa T before he flew back to the beautiful WI weather.
