Trick or Treat at Work

On Friday Max dressed up as Batman (sans mask though) and we trick or treated at my office. Even though Max is really shy and there were a lot of people there, Max had a lot of fun hunting for buckets filled with candy.

Max's buddy Briggs was there too and he was dressed up as a fireman, so of course we get home and Max dressed up as a fireman and says that's what he wants to be for Halloween now. We will see what he decides to do tomorrow night for Halloween.

As you can see I did not get the joy of making Max's costume this year. He's three now and is so independent that he makes his own decisions now (insert sarcasm) and that includes what he wears for Halloween. This bummed me out, but I also knew this was coming.

Weekend Update

I feel like the weekend revolved around Halloween. It started with Max opening his Halloween gift from his grandparents.

We started to bake pumpkin shaped cookies on Saturday morning. Max talked about these cookies all week long so I knew there was no way out of making them. Now, I am stuck with a lot of sugar filled cookies at my house, but Max had a lot of fun making them.

We did go to a birthday party that was not Halloween themed though; however, Max did wear orange. There was a petting zoo that Max just loved. His favorite was the bunny. He did not want to go inside the cage, but instead pet the animals from the outside. That was his favorite part. The party also had a balloon maker and face painter as well as a mariachi band. Max liked the balloons, but passed on the face painting...I was not surprised. He did enjoy the mariachi band and was overly curious about it.

We woke up Sunday morning to a little boy that was excited to decorate the cookies we made on Saturday.

We finished the weekend with painting our little pumpkins. Max had fun with this for about 10 minutes before he was ready to move onto something else...sigh.

We had a great weekend together and I look forward to celebrating Halloween with my little Batman...I mean Max.

Pumpkins & Friends

This past weekend we went to a farm only about 30 minutes away. They had a pumpkin patch and a lot of activities to do. The only downfall was that is was an overly warm day so it was hard to get in the Fall spirit and eat chili, but we made the best of it. It's not like Max really knows the difference of Fall weather...yet.

The only thing Max really wanted to do was go on the train. He was pretty excited about this.

We also had some chili...well, Andy and Max did. It was way to warm outside to eat chili.

Of course we picked out one big pumpkin to carve and two small ones to paint.

We then decided to venture home and out of the heat.

It was Badger game day so after Max took a nap we headed over to our friend's house. Max had a blast playing with all of the "new" toys...well, new to him. He even played with Evan a little bit.

They both shared a snack and watched Paw Patrol outside together before we put on jam-jams and headed home.

It might be Fall, but it sure doesn't feel like it yet. That is one thing I miss about WI, the Fall weather and Badger football games.

Fun With Grandpa TK & Grandma S

Grandpa TK and grandma S were just here but only for three days. It was a very quick trip but Max wore them out from playing hard. I didn't take many photos so these are courteous of Grandma S.

Before they left town grandma and grandpa gave Max some piggy food.

I tried to get a nice photo of the three of them before they headed to the airport. Max was not having it though because he didn't want them to leave so soon. I don't think he was done playing.
