My Little Fishy

On Monday night Max passed another level at swim. He is now Silver - Level 1. During this level  he will perfect the free stroke and learn the back stroke. He was so excited to pass another level and ring the bell. I couldn't be more proud of him. He just LOVES to swim.

He was even more excited that grandpa T and grandma S were able to see him pass a level.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's time to play catch up. We've been busy with grandparents in town, so now that all is calm again I can get you up to speed.

Soccer game! Since the grandparents were here to watch, Max played the hardest I think I have seen him play all season. That just shows me the grandparents need to attend more games.

The grandparents are in town and Max couldn't be more excited.

My dad fixed something on Andy's truck while he was here and Max was right there wanting to help. He was more than excited to hold the flashlight for grandpa. This picture melts my heart!

Of course we made a board at AR Workshop. Such a cool place! Max asked for a Xmas countdown so I thought it would be more fun to make one.

It was grandpa J's birthday, so of course there was cake.

Thanksgiving party at Max's school.

Helping daddy get the bird ready for Thanksgiving and then getting it in the fryer.

Weekend Update

Soccer on Saturday morning. It was a gorgeous morning. Not too hot and just perfect weather for a soccer game.

After the game we headed to my work picnic. Max was super excited to go. Not only did he have fun getting tattoos and playing on all the fun activities, he got to hang out with his friends, Briggs and Stella.

On Sunday we played hard and we also relaxed. In late afternoon it cooled off outside to 70 degrees and Max was a little cold so he went to his room to put on something warm. He came back outside dressed in a ski hat, a fleece and slippers for the cold 70 degree weather Arizona was experiencing.

He's going to be one cold kid again at Christmas time in WI.

Soccer, Projects and the Park

This past weekend we kicked it off with a soccer game on Saturday morning. Max really wasn't into it, but he gave it is all anyway.

It's been a while since we did a project so Max really wanted to do one. So, we made a Fall tree using Max's hand as the branches and Q-tips for the Fall leaves. Max also wanted to make a "fun" tree with crazy colors.

We also painted with potatoes and made shapes. This was a total last minute idea when Max saw the potatoes on the table.

We also made a catapult out of popsicle sticks. I let Max color the sticks with markers and then we assembles the catapult. It ended up being a Pinterest fail, but at least we tried.

There was also a lot of bike riding this weekend and we took a journey to a park far away. After we played at the park Max had a hard time make the long bike ride home because his legs were tired...those were his words.
