Max had his second soccer game on Saturday morning. I was not very good at taking pictures this time because I was a little occupied watching a kid on the other team push kids on Max's team in the back so they would fall down. It was completely uncalled for and when that brat pushed Max in the back he didn't even have the ball. Max then fell on his face. It's not like that kid was targeting Max. He did it to two other kids on the team. He would just get this anger on his face and run up to a kid on Max's team and push them in the back. One time, a girl on Max's team scored and that kid was mad, so he ran up behind her and pushed her so hard that she face planted. It was completely uncalled for. Plus, nobody said anything to that kid...not even his parents. I was just shocked. I mean what kind of parents does this kid have? I saw them just sitting there watching him play so obviously they saw it too and didn't see anything wrong with his behavior. I can tell you that if Max behaved like that I would have said something to him right there. This league is supposed to be fun, friendly and teach the 4 and 5 year olds how to play sports. There is no room for nasty behavior. All that did was make Max not want to play, but I talked to him about it after the fact. He asked me why that kid was being so mean, so we had a nice talk about that on the way home.
The weather is getting much nicer here and it's time to plant the garden. Max was pretty excited to plant carrots and spinach. I dug the holes while he put the seeds in the ground and then he watered the garden.
Of course he needed to water his sand box too.
We did do a couple projects this weekend as well. We blew up a balloon with baking soda and vinegar. We did this a couple times and Max thought it was pretty cool.
We ended the weekend making a sun catcher. It was an octopus that Max couldn't wait to hang it up in the window so it could catch the sun.
