A Weekend of Firsts

On Saturday morning Max had his first soccer game. It was beyond adorable to watch 4 and 5 year old's play a soccer game. It was focused on fun and teaching them to play in a team. There is no goalie and it's played three on three. There are four quarters and each kid plays two quarters. Max got to play a little more than two quarters because there was another kid on his team that did not want to play both his quarters so the coach rotated kids to fill his position in the last quarter. Max had a lot of fun at his game. He was super sweaty and told me that getting sweaty is what he doesn't like about playing soccer.

Also on Saturday Max had his first sleep over. Evan's mommy went into labor so we offered to watch Evan Saturday night while they went to the hospital. The boys played hard on Saturday night until bed time. Evan slept on the futon right outside of Max's room on the landing at the top of the stairs. I made the boys crepes for breakfast with fruit and sausage.

The boys played hard on Sunday morning until Evan's daddy came to pick him up. Max was super excited to have Evan sleep over and I would say Max's first sleep over was a success.
