Soccer and Zoe

This past weekend Max had the first soccer game for the winter season. He has a new coach, but he has two teammates on his team from before. Max got out there and gave it his all.

Soooo...we got a puppy! A week after Izzy past we realized how quiet it is in our house. Way too quiet. We were really missing Izzy. Andy found a breeder down in Tucson and asked her to put our name on the list for a fawn boxer. He also explained to her that we just lost ours and we are not ready for a puppy anytime soon, but we will want one in 2019. She sent Andy a picture of a fawn boxer that was born on December 26th and would be ready to take home mid-February. Eeek! Andy initially told her we were going to pass because we are not ready, but after another day she sent the picture again. We discussed it and looked at the timeline of the calendar to see when a good time to get a dog would be and it really is February or March considering we have a lot planned this year. Andy told her that we want the puppy. Well, we were allowed to go visit on Sunday. After a long car ride down to Tucson we got to see our baby girl.

Max named her Zoe. I was reading off the 100 top female dog names one night and nobody was listening to me...or so I thought. A couple days later I was trying to convince Max that we should name our new puppy Rosie and he said "I already named her." I asked him what he named her and he said Zoe. I actually really like that name and asked him where he got it from. He said from your phone the other night. Huh, so someone was listening to me. He discussed it with daddy and we all got on board with the name Zoe. We will go and pick up Zoe after Valentine's day.
