Max loved watching the planes take off before we boarded. He kept telling me "On mamma, on plane." It was beyond adorable. He just wanted to get on the plane and go for a ride.
This was the first time we had to buckle him in. Every time before this he was not two yet, so he was considered a lap child. He did not want to be buckled in. He informed us of this as he screamed at the top of his lungs UNBUCKLE...UNBUUUUUCKLE....UNBUUUUUUUUCKLE! Uhm, yeah. This only last three minutes for take off and landing on the flight out, but that three minutes felt like an hour. Other than that he was a good traveler. He did not nap at all on the way to WI, so we entertained him the whole way.
On the way home from WI we braced for a rough flight because we flew out of MKE at 6:15 am. Which meant we had to get a toddler in the car at 3am (that is 1am AZ time since we kept him on AZ time the whole time we were there). We were hoping he would sleep the whole care ride to MKE, but that did not happen. He was awake the whole time. Once we got to the airport we had a very sleepy two year old, but he did not want to miss out watching the blue planes take off. Once on the plane I was expecting the worse, but received the best little traveling toddler with only 6 hours of sleep. This time instead of putting him in the middle for takeoff, we put him at the window so he could watch. He enjoyed this much better and there was no screaming of UNBUCKLE. Right after we got in the air he fell asleep for almost two hours.
This was AWESOME! After that we entertained him for the rest of the flight and this mamma was once again proud of my little man because I received compliments from the passengers behind us and in front of us at how well behaved he was. Oh, this mamma was/is very proud of my big guy.
