Getting Out in Wisconsin

We spent most of our time in Wisconsin at our parents homes to give the grandparents plenty of time with Max. We even got out once for a date night...something rare for us. After the first couple days the temps dropped to zero degrees and it was unbelievably cold outside. This is what it was like for Max every time we left the house.
He kept looking at us wondering what was going on and probably thought we were crazy for being in that cold weather.

Instead of always being cooped up in the house we went to the Madison Childrens Museum with grandma V and grandpa J. It was absolutely packed with kids. It was school break and zero temps so of course we would think it would be a fantastic time to visit the museum. It was so packed that Max was a little scared at first, but after some observing and checking out the water area he started to get into it. We had a ton of fun just watching Max have a ton of fun.

He got soaked playing in the water feature. Grandma had to dry his sweater in the bathroom before we left because it was so cold out.

We also hit up the local pizza joint while we were there. Max enjoyed the scenery more than anything.

We also went to a five course dinner with grandpa TK and grandma S. Good thing we had a private room and Frozen to help entertain Max for the long meal.

Of course there was plenty of lounging in grandma L's rocking chair.

We had a very busy week in WI and it was great to give Max time with his grandparents. When we got back to AZ Max took a three hour nap, which never happens. I also took a nap too. Even though we were exhausted when we got back the trip was definitely worth it!
