Last week Max came home from school with a pride award for his excellent behavior. They used to present these to the kids in front of the school at an assembly, but due to COVID the principal now goes around to each class to present the pride award to the students that earned it. He was pretty excited to receive it since they haven't done awards since last school year.
On Friday I had the day off so I started the day by taking Max to breakfast before school. Once we got in the car he asked me to take a picture of us so that we could document our morning. He's so cute.
We finished breakfast early and I took him to the park right next to his school so he could see a couple of his friends that we see play there every morning. After some playtime the three boys walked through the fence and across campus together. This was so cute and Max felt like such a big boy that he didn't even say bye to me. I had to yell bye and he was like "oh, yeah, bye." Now, he wants to go to the park every morning to see his friends and walk to the school with them. We are doing this as our schedule allows.
Saturday night was the big birthday celebration for Andy while Max spent the night with grandpa T. I hired a private chef to come to the house and make a four-course meal for us and our group of close friends. Chef Nick was amazing and he brought with him a server/sommelier who served the food and presented the wine pairing with each course. They did such a fantastic job and the best part was how clean they left the kitchen. I never had to do anything and just got to hang out with our friends. This is definitely the way to go when having a dinner party. It's going to be hard doing it myself the next time.
I got Max's professional baseball photo sent to me and he is so handsome.
The girls are officially best friends who like to cuddle.
