Camping

We were supposed to go camping this past weekend, but due to the forecasted rainy weather the camping weekend was cancelled. This left a very bummed out little boy who was really looking forward to camping. Andy came up with the idea that we would still camp, but at home. He set up our old tent in the living room and we made s'mores in our back yard. Max was super excited about this and he was ok with camping at home.

Of course camping isn't complete without fishing. We got up early on Saturday morning and headed to Bartlett Lake. It's about an hour north of our house. It's definitely not cooler there, so that's why we headed out very early. We ended up catching 7 fish and had a lot of bites and fish stealing our worms.

Due to the heat we only stayed for close to two hours. It was very scenic and beautiful there. Definitely worth the drive. Fishing topped off our "camping" weekend and Max had so much fun that he made daddy sleep in the tent with him again on Saturday night.
