Weekend Update

Well, the weekend cruised by super fast and I find myself at another Monday looking back on the weekend. Friday night we enjoyed dinner with friends at a restaurant while the kids played. The restaurant was perfect because we were able to eat outside on the patio while the kids played close by. Max has been getting better with his socializing so he played the whole time. It was fun to watch him play. It ended up being a late night for Max, but it was ok because he was being so good and having so much fun playing with his friends. I am bummed I didn't get even one picture. In the morning Max woke up with bed head. It was time to head to Sharkey's to fix this.

Grandma L flew in on Saturday, but she had some flight issues so we last minute booked Diana to come to the house and watch Max until grandma L arrived. Andy and I went out with our friends to relive the old days (and celebrate his birthday)...the days when we were younger. It was definitely a good time, but I paid for it the next day.

On Sunday Max made daddy his birthday cake for tonight. He was super excited. We went to get the ingredients and Max picked out everything. He pretty much made it himself. He used the hand mixer and was very proud of himself. He spent a lot of time decorating it for daddy. He said daddy is going to like his cake because it's made with love.

Max also played chef and made grandma some noodles.

After the cake we headed up to Karen's house for dinner. Max was able to give Evan his birthday presents and he was super excited to watch Evan open them. I was so bad at pictures this weekend that I even got this picture from AJ.

What a fun weekend. We will be celebrating Andy's birthday tonight with Max's cake.
