I took him into this old plane from the 40's and he wanted to play in the cockpit. Since that was off limits I had to back away from the cockpit with a screaming toddler.
Maxim really enjoyed the curb...yes, the curb! With all the planes, cars and helicopters he found the curb the most fun.Thursday, April 16, 2015
A Morning With Planes, Cars and Helicopters
Last weekend I was looking for something to do with Maxim and the family when I came across Chandler Airport Dayz. It sounded perfect for Max. He will get a chance to check out planes up close and personal. He will also get to see some really cool cars. This event sounded right up his alley so we got in the car and went to the Chandler airport with his grandparents and Tayler. We thought Max would "geek out" once we got there, but he didn't. Max had a good time but he didn't get overly excited like we thought he would.
Stopped for a snack of mini donuts.

Day With Grandparents
Grandma V and Grandpa J are in town along with Maxim's cousin Tayler. They got to spend all Friday with him. Max received his Easter basket from them and one item he particularly enjoyed...squirt guns. It was his first time using them and he had a fantastic time with his grandparents and cousin this past Friday learning how to use the squirt guns. He especially enjoyed getting Izzy. I received this fun video from Tayler on Friday while I was at work and it just made my day watching Maxim giggle with laughter.
Besides the video I also got some cute pictures of the squirt gun shenanigan's when I got home from work.

Happy Easter
We started the Easter celebrations on Friday night with egg decorating. Honestly, I didn't think Maxim would care so I only boiled a dozen eggs. I went into this assuming he would only do one egg and then I would do the rest. Andy was even thinking the same thing. We were wrong! He loved it and had so much fun, which then meant we had so much fun. He liked just throwing the eggs into the cups, which ended up splashing everywhere. Of course it was very messy, but the smile on Maxim's face made it all worth it.
On Saturday morning I set up an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. I used the dozen boiled eggs and six plastic eggs. The plastic eggs were filled with Disney Clubhouse characters. Maxim just had fun opening them once he realized he could.
Then this morning we started off Easter with a basket.
Once Maxim plowed through all the goodies we went to brunch with grandma L. It was a beautiful morning and a nice place for brunch at Cenral Bistro. Maxim has been teething (read not feeling well with a lot of drool and whining from the pain) so I really had no idea how it was going to go, but overall he held up prett well.
Maxim was so tired from all of the weekend festivities that he took two naps today (he doesn't know how lucky he is). We ended Easter with a nice ham with grandma L because she had flight issues that caused her to be in town for another night. We hope all of our family and friends also had a nice Easter.

On Wisconsin!
What a game tonight! I am very proud of WI for beating Kentucky. It was super stressful, but very fun to watch. We went to a Badger party at Rhonda's house (grandma L's friend). There was a ton of food and fun decorations. Most of all, Max had a great time playing. I am very proud of him for being so well behaved, even though we left Rhonda's house one hour after bedtime. He played so hard tonight that he fell asleep instantly in the car on the way home. We were able to get him in the house, put a night diaper on him and put him to bed without him even waking up. Now that's a tired toddler!
